American Photo Magazine featured Crash Burn Love in the Sept/Oct 2006 issue! The cover image was top dead center on the page; other photographers reviewed in the feature were Joel Meyerowitz, Danny Lyon, and David Plowden. Not bad company.
The book includes a bibliography of magazine and newspaper articles about demolition derby for those interested in learning more or doing research about the sport.

Top Gear, Issue 155, August 2006, has a four-page feature spread from Crash Burn Love, entitled Goin' for Broke. Top Gear is published by the BBC and has a circulation of 1.5 million in the UK and 14 international editions. It's available in the US at Barnes and Noble and other big bookstores and newsstands.
Popular Photography showcased Crash Burn Love in the January 2002 issue on the back page. Library Journal gave Crash Burn Love a "fantastic" review. Public around the country are adding the book to their collections. PBS Television has published several of Bill's articles about demolition derby on their website. Pennsylvania high school students are required to complete a graduation project in order to receive their diploma. Demolition Derby has been the topic for graduation projects at Pleasant Valley High School, in Brodheadsville, PA, at Pen Argyl High School, in Pen Argyl, PA, and others. Crash Burn Love will be a perfect resource for students researching demolition derby. Students doing research can also contact Bill to arrange for an interview. |
